Michael

Today was Michael's two week check up for his foot. the plaster cast came off to make way for the lighter fiberglass one but all did not go as smoothly as it sounds. It turns out that when the plaster cast came off there was a lot of swelling. The doctor questioned whether Michael had gotten the cast wet to which we both didn't think so . I verbalized that there was so much bleeding after surgery that I thought that is where the moisture came from. The doctor didn't think that this was the case but didn't debate it. Michael was given a prescription for Augmentin and to be safe blood was drawn and a culture was taken around one of the pins , to pinpoint what exactly was causing the infection. The doctor seemed nervous about this little problem but told us that by next week the infection should be under control and then we would take x rays and all the things that should have been done this week. Please keep this situation in your prayers. I realize that infection happens and antibiotics will take care of it but the doctor's nervousness has me a biting my nails. Thankfully God is in control and will take care of everything.
