My life seems to be full of puppy related things right now, but in an effort not to bore anyone, I thought I would answer some questions that have shown up in my E mail lately but have not yet been answered. The first few are puppy questions. I guess that I neglected to mention the puppies sexes past the birth announcement. Yes Clarissa has no problem with us touching them and we have examined them. It turns out that we have two males and two females. The funny thing is that the black ones, like Mommy are males and the buff ( and red) ones are females, like Daddy.
Question number two is do we plan on keeping any or all ? We are not real sure of this one yet. The original plan was that since Cindy is seventeen she would be allowed to keep one for which she is responsible . This one would go with her when she moves out. ( no immediate plans but probably before she is thirty five or so) This one really depends on a few things. The biggest being whether we plan to let Clancy and Clarissa mate again. Honestly, though Clarissa did a great job and seems to be a great Mom, I am not sold on many more , if any matings . Mike , on the other hand, would love to have a couple more litters. Not every year, mind you, but maybe another in a couple years. I guess we will just see how it goes. Of course they are so cute that maybe we will keep all of them. Six dogs aren't really too many..... right?
Question number three is non puppy... well kind of. How did Cindy's job interview with Dr Allen go? It was on Wednesday( The puppies' birthday) and it went well. She interviewed with the office manager and then was told that she would talk to Dr. Allen himself. She was ushered into a surgical scrub room and was washed up. She was then taken into the surgical suite where she met Dr Allen and chatted with him during a spay . I guess that he just wanted to see how she would handle this aspect of the job. All went pretty well and she got called for a second interview coming up next Friday. It sounds like this interview may include an orientation as she was told to wear scrubs. Please keep the prayers going. If this doesn't work out, Cindy has also received a call for an interview for a Nurses aid. Though this job pays over nine dollars an hour. Cindy would rather work for a little over minimum wage with animals. We have handed this one over to God and will let him decide.
Question number four, the last on my mind now concerns My Mom and Grandma. Mom is doing well. She is still recovering but looks great ( except for the huge incision down her neck) the doctor is thrilled that she doesn't seem to have any nerve damage at all even though he told us after surgery that he doubted that she would ever talk again.Praise God she talked to us as soon as we seen her in recovery. The lord really has carried her through this.
Also Grandma was adjusting to the rehab at the nursing home well, but seems to have contracted pneumonia. She is not bad enough for the hospital but at ninety years old, this sort of thing can be very serious. Again, please join us in prayer.
I also heard last night that Mike's Grandmother is in the hospital in North Carolina where she was spending some time with Mike's aunt. I am not sure what is going on as all Mike told me was that she was getting dizzy. I will have Mike call his aunt tonight and try to find out more but in the meantime please add her to the prayer list.
I think I have almost covered the most asked questions but feel free to E mail or use the comment section if you wish. It may take me awhile but I will get back to you !
