As I shared, Michael tested for his Nidan( second degree black belt) yesterday. Unfortunately we do not know the results of his test yet. The process can take two weeks as the results must be taken to the ISKF headquarters , then someone from headquarters has to inform (usually via phone call)the executive director of our region. Our regional director will then notify the sensei of Michael's primary Dojo(school) and the Sensei will then contact Michael. Sometimes, results slip out early but nothing is official until this process is complete. Thankfully, we don't have to wait until the scores are recorded in Japan and an official Japanese certificate is made and issued, this can take a year. So as we anxiously await, Michael's score, here are a couple pictures of the sparing portion of his test.
