One sure sign of Summer here in NE Ohio is the opening of Cedar Point . Usually our family is there on the first operating weekend getting season passes. We then never miss a memorial day weekend visit.However this year our schedules ( more like the schedules of our teenagers)did not accommodate opening weekend nor Memorial day. Mike and I even discussed if we even wanted spend the money on passes this year. In the end though, we decided that we only need to go three times for the passes to be worth their cost and figure that surely we will do that so yesterday was the day. Cindy got off working midnight shift and we piled into the car where she slept for the almost three hour( including fast food stop) ride. The weather was a sunny 68 degrees , the park was not overly crowded , and we had a great time. Being there did make it hard for the kids to go back to school this morning ( they still have one more week )but soon enough they will be on three months of vacation so hopefully we will make it back (or to some of the other parks included on the pass) soon
