It's Ash Wendsday

Have you made it to mass and received your ashes ?
The kids and I went at 7:00 this morning. It has become a tradition for us to go before school. Though Robby's school starts so late that we still made it home in time for him to catch his bus, Michael got to be dropped off at his school on our way home and missed some of his first period class. Cindy is still on break for another week so she had plenty of time to even go back to bed for an bit before she had to go to work. Not only do the kids like being excused to go to school late for this Religious holiday but they find it interesting how many, even other Catholic's , tell them that they have dirt on their heads. Yes, it is truly a chance to explain the significance of Ash Wednesday in the Catholic church.
